They are both beautiful in their own way! The pollinators and birds get to enjoy them at different seasons :)

Did you plant those or just sprinkle some seeds around? I want to do some next year!

Fall season changes everything. In South Florida we don’t have much of a change of seasons, and it gives you fewer opportunities to see our garden change.

Love coneflowers, summer and winter. One garden writer once said that they add “structural interest in the winter garden” and that’s right, but I also love that they feed the birds, too.

Do you need to do anything special to dry the seeds for planting next year?

My mom-in-law also likes to pull off the dried ones and drop them in the same pots until the seedlings come out. Then she will replant them in other pots. She likes to give away her blooms to her children.

I planted cone flowers to improve the health of the eco-system in my garden and have not been dissapointed. It is wonderful to get to see them again as winter drags on. Thank you.
